This Saturday, April 13, Main Street Manayunk plays host to a food lover’s dream, rounding up this city’s fave food trucks for an afternoon of eating.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., more than 30 food trucks will line up on Main Street for the StrEAT Food Festival.
With top trucks in tow, available eats range from gourmet Trinidadian food from The Mini Trini to seriously addictive grilled cheese from Vernalicious to the lip-smacking frozen treats made by Little Baby’s Ice Cream.
Beyond the food trucks, visitors will have the chance to peruse wares from local farmers, gourmet food vendors and crafters who will convene in two Main Street parking lots.
For those looking further for a shopping fix, browse Main Street Manayunk’s plethora of shops and boutiques, many of which will boast deals of their own in celebration of the springtime festival.
Many of the restaurants in downtown Manayunk are set to offer restaurant tours to interested patrons, too.
To get in the spring mood, many participating restaurants and food trucks will be serving dishes that incorporate a sweet secret ingredient (strawberries!).
The day after the StrEAT Festival, Manayunk will kick off its restaurant week, running from April 14 to 26. Some of Manayunk’s most popular restaurants are preparing three course menus at all different price points — $10, $20 and $30. Participating restaurants include Han Dynasty, Manayunk Brewing Company, Couch Tomato and Derek’s.
