Rejoice! The warm weather food truck festivals will soon be starting up for the 2014 season.
The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival returns to Main Street with dozens of the city’s most popular food trucks in tow.
On Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., prepare your appetites for fare of all sort — everything from ice cream to Asian eats.
Beyond food trucks, two of Main Street’s parking lots are set to transform into outdoor markets — part farmers market, craft market and specialty food shop.
Guests are also invited to tour some of the avenue’s most happening restaurants. The tour will highlight the festival’s featured ingredient, strawberries. Also keep a look out for strawberry-centric dishes at participating food trucks.
Main Street shops also join the fun with sidewalk sales, complimentary treats, store events and more.
The Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival serves as a precursor for Manayunk Restaurant Week which is slated to run from April 13 through 25. Dinner is served at 22 area restaurants that each are set to dish out three-course menus at varying price points — $15, $25 and $35.
